743 newly registered coronavirus cases, 80% of them among the non-vaccinated

743 coronavirus cases were identified in the past day out of 12,113 tests, according to the coronavirus information portal. A bit over 6% of the samples tested positive. 80.4% of newly infected are non-vaccinated.

The highest number of new cases was registered in Sofia - 206, in Varna - 65, and in Burgas - 53. There are 4,023 patients in hospital as 451 of them are in intensive care units. Over 94% of the newly hospitalized 122 patients are non-vaccinated. 52 people passed away as over 96% of them were not immunized. The number of recoveries reached 201. There are 97,807 active cases in this country. Yesterday, 313 doses of coronavirus vaccine were administered. 1,897,330 people have completed immunization. 251,114 have also had a booster dose.
