Boyko Borissov: The Presidency is acting as an upper house of parliament, designating tasks to the government and parliament

“The good-neighbour agreement with North Macedonia is formulated with such precision, so clearly in every sphere that all the two sides have to do is carry it out. The meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security was unnecessary. The only thing it did was demonstrate the complete chaos the country is in,” GERB leader and former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov commented at a briefing of the opposition party.

In his words the Presidency is acting as an upper house of parliament, and as such, designates tasks – to the government, to parliament. Can you remember there ever having been a Council, after which the prime minister has not made a statement, Boyko Borissov asked. According to Borissov, issues such as the over 30% inflation in stores, or the fact there are no measures concerning the prices of gas, of electricity, of fuels remain unaddressed.
