The first liver transplant for 2022 was performed at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia. The recipient is a fifty two-year-old man with an advanced liver disease. The donor is a 63 year-old man. The seven-hour transplant was made on January 11. The recipient is in a satisfactory health condition. He is responsive and his vitals are improving, Professor Nikola Vladov announced.
