Bulgaria reports 2,379 new cases of Covid-19 out of 15,035 tests performed

2,379 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 15,035 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. Nearly 16% of the tests have returned positive result. 77.30% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated.

There are 151,477 active cases of Covid-19.

44 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 93.18% of them were not immunized. 177 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 83.62% of the hospitalizations were among the unvaccinated. 5,267 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, as 557 of them are in intensive care units.

1,239 people have been reported cured in the past day.

3,719 vaccines were administered on Sunday. There are 1,962,387 people with completed immunization. 502,666 have had a booster shot.
