After more than two hours of debate, the National Assembly adopted, definitively, the bill on the implementation of the effect of the budget from the previous year – 2021 – until 31 March this year.
The majority voted to extend the implementation of the size, basis and average monthly income in accordance with last year’s central budget until the end of March 2022. This means that the minimum monthly salary for the first three months of this year remains 650 Leva (EUR 325), the size of the minimum and the maximum insurable earnings remains the same, as do the social security contributions. Ministries and state agencies will be able to assume payments and obligations during the first three months of 2022, though not higher than 25% of the annual amount set down in 2021. The Council of Ministers can raise the ceiling of expenditure payments connected with the measures for overcoming the consequences of Covid-19, for compensating the high prices of electric energy and natural gas, and for the implementation of investment projects approved by the National Assembly.
