Highest number of new daily infections registered since start of pandemic

A total of 12,399 new coronavirus cases have been registered in this country for a day. This has been the biggest number of new infections since the beginning of the pandemic. Over 76% of the new cases are among the non-vaccinated. 28.2% of 43,981 tests returned positive result, according to the portal coronavirus.bg

The number of registered patients rose to 217,129. The number of new hospital admission reached 692 as 83% of the newly-hospitalized patients are non-vaccinated citizens. There are a total of 5,347 patients in hospitals as 523 are in intensive care.

73 people with Covid passed away as 61 of them were not immunized. The number of daily recoveries reached 2,688.

10,667 vaccines were administered on Tuesday. 1,980,511 people have already completed the vaccination cycle.
