Bulgaria reports 2,602 new daily Covid-19 infections, a positivity rate of 17.2%

2,602 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 15,061 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 17.2%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 78% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

239,320 is the number of active Covid-19 cases in the country, up by 365 from the previous day.

210 is the number of new hospital admissions, 86% of them are among the unvaccinated. 5,730 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, 506 of them in intensive care.

39 patients with established Covid-19 have died in the past 24 hours, 36 of them are not vaccinated. 2,198 is the number of recoveries in the past day.

1,900 doses of vaccine were administered on Sunday, 1,993,529people in the country have completed their vaccination cycle, 606,917 have taken a booster shot.
