Prime Minister Kiril Petkov described his recent visit to Skopje as "terribly late". That is how he responded to President Rumen Radev's criticism that the visit was a hasty decision. "I would not have delayed this visit as we do not want the Balkans to remain the poorest, most corrupt, most uncoordinated place in the European Union.
