Decline in number of infections, but rise in Covid related deaths marked for a week

There were 4,737 new coronavirus cases in Bulgaria registered in the past day. This is 22.3% of 21,251 tests. The active cases reached 259,629, according to data in the Single Coronavirus Information Portal.

There are 6,212 Covid-19 patients in hospital - nearly 70 more than yesterday. However, the number of those in intensive care remains almost unchanged - 585. The number of recoveries reached 3,784 and 40 patients lost their lives in the past day. 2,612 vaccines were administered yesterday. The total number of people with a completed vaccination cycle is now 2,011,537.

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases for a 7-day period has decreased by 12.6%. At the same time, coronavirus-related deaths rose by 25.15%. Just 11.65% of the deceased had vaccination.
