Active Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria are now more than 260,000

A total of 8,012 new coronavirus cases were registered in Bulgaria in the past day as 21.4% of 37,509 tests returned positive result, according to the portal coronavirus.bg.

The number of registered patients rose by 2,054 to 261,577. There were 1,145 new patients admitted to hospital, as 87% of them are non-vaccinated. The number of hospitalized patients increased by 18 people to 6,256. The number of those in intensive care rose to 623.

176 people with Covid lost their lives yesterday. 156 of them were not immunized. The number of recoveries reached 5,782.

A total of 5,671 vaccines were administered on Monday. There are 2,014,447 people in Bulgaria with a completed vaccination cycle.
