Bulgaria has fuel supply for 90 days

There is no expectation of fuel shortages in the event of rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine. According to the executive director of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association Andrey Delchev, Bulgaria has enough automobile, ship and aircraft fuels. He commented to BNR that Bulgaria still has alternative sources of imports and maintains mandatory 90-day fuel reserves.

The state reserve for military purposes and the army needs can also be released, but it is not included in these 90 days and is for other purposes. However, like other countries in Europe, Bulgaria is highly dependent on supplies from Russia, not only of natural gas, but also oil and other liquid fuels as a final product.
