Police confiscates more than 1 kg of cocaine in Bulgaria's Sandanski

Bulgaria's police unit for countering organized crime has seized more than a kilogram of cocaine at the time of a deal being carried out in the town of Sandanski close to the Greek-Bulgarian border. 

A total of four people have been detained so far. It has been established that a woman tried to buy the drugs from a man with a criminal record from Veliko Tarnovo. During a search of the apartment from which the cocaine was sent a sum of nearly BGN 170,000 was found. Different addresses in several cities were checked.

A day earlier, special police units confiscated nearly 10 kg of cocaine on the Trakia Motorway. The drug was found in a secret compartment of a car, the driver was detained, as well as 5 other people involved in the case.
