“Kyiv has no proof so far of a withdrawal of some of the Russian troops from the border with Ukraine, it cannot be said there is any de-escalation of tension,” Ukraine’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Vitalii Moskalenko said for the BNR.

He described the statement by Igor Konashenkov, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, who said earlier today that some of the Russian troops near Ukraine had completed their exercises and were beginning to pull out as “a statement, uncorroborated by real action.”

According to Ambassador Moskalenko, Ukraine has evidence to the contrary, that the number of Russian troops along the Ukraine perimeter has been increasing.
