GERB proposes declaration condemning recognition of independence of Donetsk and Luhansk regions

In connection with the situation in Ukraine and the Russian recognition of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the sending of Russian troops there, Chairman of the GERB parliamentary group Daniel Mitov proposed adopting a National Assembly declaration on the case.

In response, Parliament Speaker Nikola Minchev announced that such a declaration would be drafted during the break of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, at which MPs discuss amendments to the Law on Corporate Taxation and Budgets of the Health Insurance Fund and the State Social Security.
