Bulgaria will be among the leading manufacturers of electric trucks in the near future. This was stated by Bulgaria's Minister of Innovation and Growth Daniel Lorer at the presentation of the electric vehicle Sevic V500e

The electric vehible is created and assembled in Bulgaria's second-biggest city Plovdiv and has already been certified by the European automobile organization UTAC for traffic on European roads. Bulgarian electric trucks will be produced entirely with energy from renewable energy sources.

The first 500 light utility vehicles are already manufactured and are intended for export. There is great interest in them in Western Europe and the United States.  The battery allows them to run 300 km and they have a load capacity up to 600 kg.

The manufacturer plans to build a new factory and produce nearly 1,000 units a year, the Ministry of Economy has announced.
