Bulgaria reports 2,903 new daily Covid-19 infections, almost 12% positivity rate

2,903 is the number of Covid-19 cases registered out of 24,216 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 11.98%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

4,224are being treated in hospital, 500 of them in intensive care. 367 is the number of new hospital admissions, and 5,449 are reported as recovered. 67 have died in the past 24 hours.

The highest number of new infections has been reported in Sofia -  697,Varna – 423,Burgas – 247 and Plovdiv – 218.

4,203 doses of vaccine have been administered in the country in the past day. 2,043,943 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country, 685,484 have taken a booster dose.
