Bulgaria’s National Assembly to vote the resignation of Defense Minister Stefan Yanev

An extraordinary sitting of Bulgaria’s National Assembly is to be held today. Bulgaria’s Parliament is expected to vote the resignation of the Minister of Defense Stefan Yanev demanded by Premier Kiril Petkov. Todor Tagarev is expected to be nominated as Yanev’s replacement.

Professor Todor Tagarev is a former Minister of Defense of Bulgaria in the caretaker cabinet headed by Marin Raykov in 2013. Todor Tagarev is a military expert who has been working at the Ministry of Defense for many years.
