Skiers dressed in traditional costumes celebrate National Day in Pamporovo resort

More than 700 skiers dressed in traditional costumes skied down the slope from Snezhanka peak to Studenets ski area in Pamporovo resort carrying the national flag. 

Bulgarians from all ages and regions of the country took part in the procession. At the end of the descent to the sounds of the anthem of Bulgaria they waved together a huge national glad and performed together a national round dance. They were greeted on the square by Chepelare bagpipers and a singer.

The organized skiing in national costumes for the National Holiday - March 3 is held in the Rhodope resort for the fifth time. All those wishing to take part in the procession were allowed to used all lifts in the resort free of charge.
