PM Kiril Petkov expresses support for Ukraine in telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky

In a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov expressed admiration for the leadership and the courage the Ukrainian president is demonstrating, giving his people strength in the face of a fratricidal war, the government press service has announced. The Bulgarian prime minister expressed this country’s full support for all Ukrainians.

Anyone fleeing from the war will be made to feel at home in this country and the institutions will render them all necessary support at the border, Kiril Petkov said. He informed the Ukrainian president of the humanitarian aid Bulgaria is sending to Ukraine – hospital and medical equipment, and medicinal products.

The Bulgarian prime minister expressed the hope that peace will return to the region as soon as possible.
