Prices for bus transportation expected to rise significantly amidst rising fuel prices

Photo: sofia.bg

As of next week, bus carriers will start a gradual increase in ticket prices - both for urban and long-distance travel. The coronavirus crisis, the reduced passenger numbers and the high fuel prices are the reasons for this increase.

The Confederation of Bus Carriers officials state that they have the approval of the Minister of Transport Nikolay Sabev, as this will ease the budget.

The increase in transport prices is expected to reach 50% in places where this is possible, says Magdalena Miltenova, chairwoman of the confederation.
