Hundreds of Bulgarians responded to the call of the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Bulgaria "Mother Ukraine" and made donations to the people of Ukraine. Blankets, new clothes, hygienic materials are still accepted today in the Sofia-based office of Greenpeace Bulgaria at 1 Hristo Belchev Street.

“Currently, there are 20,000 Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria. Some hoteliers accommodate them, but since they do not receive any help from the state, they urge them to leave and this is a big problem," Olena Kotseva, chairwoman of the association, told the BNR.

She added that the organization has sent three aid trucks to arrive at a checkpoint in Ukraine and have the aid distributed from there as needed.
More information can be found on the Help for Ukrainian Refugees page.
