No candidacy for governor of the Bulgarian National Bank - BNB had been submitted to parliament by March 8, which was the deadline. The 6-year term of the current Governor of the BNB, Dimitar Radev, expired in July 2021. The terms in office of two of the Deputy Governors of the bank- Nina Stoyanova and Kalin Hristov, have also expired.
