Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov agreed with the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission and added that state aid to household consumers may be extended until the end of April.
"The request of Bulgargaz to increase gas prices with nearly 60% is due to the actions of the former management of the company, which refused to buy cheap gas from Azerbaijan", said Premier Kiril Petkov and added that the government will try to reach a new agreement with Azerbaijan to secure cheaper natural gas.
