Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office intercepts a pedophile ring

Twenty one people, aged between twenty two and seventy six, have been arrested on suspicion of participation in a pedophile ring. “The pre-trial proceedings were initiated following investigations by a group of youngsters who called themselves “pedophile hunters”, the head of the Sofia Regional Prosecutor’s Office Nevena Zartova explained.

The so-called “pedophile hunters” were publishing dating ads, purporting to be underage boys and girls, thus arranging dates with elder men. The pedophiles thought they communicated with children online. However, the “pedophile hunters” would show up and record the meeting. The Prosecutor’s Office will demand permanent arrest for all detainees.
