The Ministry of Economy will submit to the Council of Ministers a proposal to declare an extraordinary situation for export-oriented companies due to the war in Ukraine in force retroactively on February 24, Minister of Economy Korneliya Ninova said.

This will entitle them to postpone the execution of contracts, payments or deliveries. The proposal comes after a series of meetings with various industries that cannot continue to operate because of disrupted supply lines and a drastic jump in prices internationally. The goal is to save the Bulgarian economy, the minister said.
