Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov made it through to the Indian Wells quarter-finals with a 6-3, 7-6 win over John Isner on Wednesday. The 208-centimeter high giant Isner is also known for his strong opening shot, but Dimitrov outplayed him in almost all components of the match.

For a place in the half-finals Grigor Dimitrov will face No. 7 Andrey Rublev, who defeated No. 11 Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in two sets - 7-6 (5), 6-4.

In 2021, the Bulgarian managed to make it through and played in the semi-finals of the tournament, but lost against Great Britain's Cameron Norrie.
