The European Commission has approved 30m euros in compensation to Bulgarian airlines to deal with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. The funds were provided from the state budget and transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
They are provided for repayment of liabilities to banks and under operating lease agreements due as of December 31, 2019, amounting to no more than 20 percent of the turnover from implemented charter programs and aircraft rental for 2019.
