Union of Bulgarian Artists presents Icarus Awards 2022

On the World Theatre Day, the Union of Bulgarian Artists presented for the 48th time the Icarus Awards. 

Koyna Ruseva, who plays Woland in “The Master and Margarita”won an Icarus for leading female role.  

Actor Vladimir Karamazov won an Icarus Award for leading male role in the “Tail”, Drama and Puppet Theater-Pleven.

 Nikolay Polyakov won an Icarus in the Best Director category for “The Master and Margarita”.

 Director and actor Asen Shopov got an Icarus for Outstanding Contribution to Bulgarian Theatre. The 2022 Icarus Award for Honor and Dignity went to actor Simeon Alexiev. This year’s Icarus Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music went to singer Mimi Nikolova.
