The ambassadors of the United States, Albania, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom joined their EU counterparts in condemning the calls for violence expressed by Vazrazhdane MP Elena Guncheva.

Guncheva wrote that Russia had weapons that could hit the Council of Ministers if the government decided to send military aid to Ukraine. "We can also send them a link with the coordinates of Mustafa (Herro Mustafa - US Ambassador to Bulgaria)," she added. The ambassadors say such threats cannot be justified and express firm belief that hate speech has no place in our societies. The Speaker of the National Assembly Nikola Minchev also condemned the words of the MP, recalling that according to Art. 29 of the Vienna Convention, all MPs must respect senior government officials as well as diplomats.
