Bulgaria reports 1,698 new daily Covid-19 infections, positivity rate at almost 11%

1,698 is the number of registered Covid-19 cases out of 15,551 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, 256 more than on the previous day. Over 68% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The coronavirus positivity rate stands at 10.9%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The number of active cases in the country is down by 1,081 to 187,031.

236 is the number of new hospital admissions, more than three-quarters of them among the unvaccinated. 1,971patients are being treated in hospital, 217 of them in intensive care. 18 patients with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day, 14 of them were not vaccinated. 2,761 is the number of recoveries reported.

1,847 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours. 2,049,909 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle. 720,726 have taken a booster shot.
