1,180 new coronavirus cases were registered in the past in Bulgaria after 12,333 tests, official data show. 9.6% of the tests returned positive result. 67% of the newly infected patients are non-vaccinated citizens. The highest number of new cases is in Sofia - 352, followed by Plovdiv - 94, and Varna - 55.
There are 1,618 patients in hospitals as 190 of them are in intensive care. 229 patients were admitted to hospital in the past day as 78% of them are non-vaccinated citizens. 40 people died as 80% of them were not immunized, while the number of recoveries reached 5,033. The number of active coronavirus cases has reached 173,569. A total of 1,376 doses of coronavirus vaccines were administered yesterday. 2,051,130 people have completed the immunization process. 725,866 have had a booster vaccine dose.
