In a parliamentary declaration, the co-ruling Democratic Bulgaria formation has demanded that Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova be declared a persona non grata. The political formtation believes that Mitrofanova's behaviour is in systematic violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and undermines the dignity of Bulgaria.

MP Antoaneta Tsoneva said that Democratic Bulgaria insists that Bulgaria should support, via forensic expertise, the investigations into Russian actions in the Kyiv suburb of Bucha.

As an EU member, Bulgaria must support new, tougher EU sanctions against Russia, Democratic Bulgaria members states, again calling for Bulgaria to provide weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
