The Chairperson of the Parliamentary group of “We Continue the Change” Andrey Gyurov has withdrawn his nomination for governor of the Bulgarian National Bank. “After the de facto split within the ruling coalition over the election of governor of Bulgaria’s central bank, it became clear that there is currently no parliamentary majority to support this election. The central bank should clear our financial system of the corrupt capital, which will otherwise continue to destroy the public and economic processes in the country”, Andrey Gyurov wrote on Facebook.
Bulgaria's Premier Kiril Petkov has confirmed Andrey Gyurov’s decision and noted that “We Continue the Change” will not support the candidate of “There is Such a People” party.
