Bulgaria reports 550 new Covid-19 cases, 8 deaths

550 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 8,311 tests performed in the country, 97 down from the previous day, which is a positivity rate of 6.6%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 73% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases in the country is down by 1,608 to 164,809.

116 is the number of new hospital admissions, 96 of them or 80% among the unvaccinated. The number of patients being treated in hospital has gone down to 1,116, of whom 133 in intensive care.

The number of Covid-related deaths in the past day is 8, of them 6 were not vaccinated.

2,150 is the number of recoveries reported. 1,632 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past 24 hours.
