Bulgaria’s Minister of Economy Kornelia Ninova has ordered the replacement of the board of directors of Kintex- a state-owned company which has experience in foreign trading with military products and defense technologies.

The inspectorate of the Ministry of Economy inspected the activity of the company in 2021 and found a number of irregularities and a conflict of interests involving the company’s Executive Director Alexander Mihaylov. The report of the inspectorate was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Financial Inspection Agency. Alexander Mihaylov noted that he had never been in a conflict of interests and added that his dismissal is due to economic interests.
