Bulgaria is planning to implement a package of measures in support of pupils from Ukraine. This transpired during an emergency video conference of the EU’s education ministers. The Bulgarian Ministry of Education has already provided for the organization of the swift processing of applications for the admission of Ukrainian pupils to the Bulgarian system of education. A leaflet has been published in the Ukrainian language providing parents with information on how their children can be admitted to kindergartens and schools, as well as on additional Bulgarian language studies and psychological support.
Ukrainian students at Bulgarian universities are to receive one-time aid amounting to 300 Leva. Another aim is for the scientists from Ukraine who are in Bulgaria to begin work at higher institutes of learning and science organizations.
