France calls on Bulgaria and North Macedonia to reach an agreement

Photo: Archive

Good neighbourly relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia will be stable and irreversible in time when the historical truth unites us, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev wrote on Facebook, recalling that on May 4 we will mark 119 years since the death of Gotse Delchev, who "is an apostle of freedom for Macedonian Bulgarians".

There is no change in France's position on North Macedonia's European integration, but it all depends on the possibility of Skopje and Sofia reaching an agreement, said French Ambassador in Skopje Cyrille Baumgartner. Once this agreement is confirmed by both sides, we will be able to move forward. It is very important to have a dialogue, the diplomat said in an interview with Skopje's TV21.
