Downward trend in pandemic Covid indicators holds

242 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 4,093 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, which is 14 down on the previous day. More than two-thirds of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, the coronavirus positivity rate stands at 5,57%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.  

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the country is down by 13 to 141,746. The number of new hospital admissions in the past day is 23, 20 of them among the unvaccinated. 849 patients are being treated in hospital, 77 of them in intensive care.

Two patients with established coronavirus have died on 2 May, both were not vaccinated. The number of recoveries is 239.

117 doses of vaccine were administered on Monday. 2,055,854 people in Bulgaria have now completed their vaccination cycle.
