Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the second round of the Masters tournament in Madrid, after winning against Maxime Cressy, USA by 6-2, 7-6 (4). It took Grigor Dimitrov an hour and 26 minutes to beat Cressy, who won versus Dimitrov at the Melbourne tournament in January. During the second round on 4 May, Dimitrov will be playing versus Diego Schwartzman, Argentina.
The last two times Dimitrov played in the tournament in Madrid he dropped out in the first round. In all of his eight participations in Madrid, the Bulgarian tennis player has only reached the quarterfinals once – in 2015.
