The mobile units of the National Employment Agency have consulted more than 20,000 Ukrainians, over 2,400 have started work.
Ten job fairs have so far taken place in the towns with compact groups of Ukrainian citizens. 86 mobile employment office units will open doors on Monday, 16 May – in Burgas, Pomorie, Varna, Golden Sands, Saints Constantine and Elena, Kavarna, Primorsko, Kiten and other towns and villages, predominantly resorts where Ukrainian citizens have been accommodated. More than 30,000 job vacancies have been announced by the state and by businesses which are open to Bulgarians as well as Ukrainians. Government subsidized employment measures are also being put in place. Eight million euro from the state budget has so far been allocated for the refugees from Ukraine, Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev said during question time in parliament.
