The event is financed under the municipality’s annual tourist development programme; for the first time it is taking place under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, which has a stand of its own. On the sidelines of the festival there will be concerts, and lots of fun and games. The museums in Plovdiv are also offering an intriguing and diverse programme specifically for the European Night of Museums – tonight they will keep their doors open to the public until late into the night.
