Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried is visiting Bulgaria May 18th and 19th, the US embassy in Sofia has announced.

“This visit by the top U.S. diplomat for Europe is the latest in a string of high-level engagements between the U.S. and Bulgaria. Assistant Secretary Donfried will reaffirm our strong bilateral relationship on security, energy, prosperity, and democracy.” the US embassy states further.
