Journalist Neri Terzieva passed away last night

With a moment of silence the MPs honored the memory of journalist Neri Terzieva.

"Today, unfortunately, a very respected and dignified person with a strong civic stance, who was among the most reputable, most accurate and even-handed journalists, has left us," MP Lyubomir Karimanski said earlier. 

Terzieva deeparted in a Plovdiv hospital, her relatives said. 

Between 1975 and 1989 she worked as a reporter and anchor at the Plovdiv Television Centre. 

From 1990 to 1993, during the turbulent times of transition, she was a producer and presenter of the central news "Around the World and at Home" at BNT. 

She was the founder and director of Efir 2 Channel. Terzieva is the author of the screenplay for the film "Stolen Eyes" dedicated to the "revival process" in Bulgaria.
