One of the symbols of the Bulgarian town of Gorna Oryahovitsa is the Gornooryahovski sudzhuk - a traditional local dried sausage that has been a trademark of quality and authenticity for more than two centuries. "Gornooryahovski sudzhuk is not only distinguished by its unique taste, but its production remains an example of preserved culinary and cultural traditions," Agriculture Minister Ivan Ivanov said at the opening of this year’s edition of the Gornooryahovski Sudzhuk Festival 2022 in Gorna Oryahovitsa.
Minister Ivanov told the producers that the management of the Ministry of Agriculture was working to improve the mechanisms for support and promoting cooperation between producers and processors. According to the Minister of Agriculture, all the measures taken are already yielding results and bringing new opportunities not only for higher market presence of authentic Bulgarian products prepared according to traditional recipes, but also for stronger economic prospects for producers in the long run.
