Bulgaria reports 188 new Covid-19 infections, 2 deaths

188 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 3,718 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of over 5%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 61% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new infections is in Sofia – 66, Plovdiv – 18, Burgas 14 and Blagoevgrad – 14. 

288 patients are being treated in hospital, 28 of them in intensive care. 78% of the 27 new hospital admissions are among the unvaccinated.

2 patients have died in the past day, neither were vaccinated. 1,356 is the number of recoveries reported. 68,574 - the number of active coronavirus cases in the country.

396 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day, bringing the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in Bulgaria to 2,060 444.

760,640 have taken a booster shot.
