Bulgaria reports 8 Covid-related deaths in the past day

246 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 5,089 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. More than 60% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 4.83% of the tests have returned positive result.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection decreased with 1,783 to 66,884. 44 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 30 of them (68.18%) were not vaccinated. 276 people are being treated in hospital, as 29 of them are in intensive care units.

8 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 2,021 have been reported cured. 378 vaccine doses were administered on Monday.

The European Union will keep the EU Digital Covid Certificate in place for another year, until June 30, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the French Presidency of the Council of the EU announced.
