Two cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in Bulgaria, the press office of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health announced. Two men aged 41 and 44 have been admitted to hospitals in the capital city Sofia in good general condition.

They travelled abroad in the past two weeks to Spain and the UK respectively, but it is not clear whether they contacted any monkeypox patients. Epidemiological investigations into the cases continue.
