The National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee discusses three draft resolutions on the opening of EU accerssion negotiations with the Republic of North Macedonia related to the so-called French Proposal. The three draft resolutions were submitted by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), GERB-SDS  and "Democratic Bulgaria".

Meanwhile, North Macedonia’s Premier Dimitar Kovacevski announced that the French EU Council Presidency’s proposal was unacceptable for Skopje. The National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee heard outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska. In her words, Bulgaria has a strategic interest in North Macedonia's EU accession, but this should not be to the detriment of Bulgaria's national interest. So far it is clear that "There is Such a People" party and "Vazrazhdane" party will not support the drafts of the MRF, GERB and "Democratic Bulgaria".
