The consultations with the Head of State on handing an exploratory mandate after the resignation of Petkov cabinet have ended.

At the meeting with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) their leader Mustafa Karadayi described the political crisis as a natural outcome of a of a politics based on lies and hatred. In his words, the country needs to exit this political crisis as a prerequisite for finding a solution to the other crises. The first step was the successful vote of no confidence in the government, said the MRF leader, whose party, like GERB, sees no options for forming a cabinet.
For his part, President Rumen Radev highlighted the political experience of the MRF during the transition years and its high responsibility towards the voters. "It is a fact that in moments of crisis you have always appealed for dialogue, and Bulgaria expects consistent efforts from all political parties to fight corruption and establish the rule of law," the Head of State concluded.
