The presidential institution has not received a report from SANS on the expulsion of 70 Russian diplomats and officials, President Rumen Radev said in Madrid. According to him, at the meeting held on June 9 this year, the Security Council at the Council of Ministers did not include the topic in the previously announced agenda. It was raised for discussion, but no decision was made on it.

"Obviously, the government's decisions are taken according to some parallel mechanism, far from the institutional path," the head of state added. According to him, the consequences of the expulsion of Russian diplomats can be very serious, especially for Bulgaria's diplomatic mission in Moscow. Rumen Radev also said that if early elections were to be held, they should not be held before September 15.

"It is important to have the greatest possible turnout," the Bulgarian President added.
